Features:
- 8 channels for 0...20 mA, 4...20 mA, single ended unipolar inputs
- Configurable alarm limit for field power outputs
- Complies with the NAMUR recommendation NE43, and supports configurable over- and under range limits
The AI880A High Integrity Analog Input Module is designed for single and redundant configuration. The module has 8 current input channels. The input resistance is 250 ohm. The module distributes the external transmitter supply to each channel. This adds a simple connection to distribute the supply to 2- or 3-wire transmitters.
The transmitter power is supervised and current limited. All eight channels are isolated from the ModuleBus in one group. Power to the Module is generated from the 24 V on the ModuleBus. The AI880A complies with the NAMUR recommendation NE43, and supports configurable over- and under range limits.
The AI880A 3BSE039293R1 ABB High Integrity Analog Input Module may still be available for purchase and support from Moore Automated Company beyond End-Of-Life (EOL) by the manufacturer (OEM).

Important Notice: Other accessories, manuals, cables, calibration data, software, etc. are not included with this equipment unless listed in the above stock item description. All prices are shown in USD.
Transmitter Support: Allows direct distribution of loop power to two-wire or three-wire field transmitters with a maximum cable length of 600 meters.
Current Limiting Protection: Each power channel features dedicated continuous short-circuit monitoring and independent current limiting to prevent short circuits in local field wiring from causing failures in adjacent channels.
NAMUR NE43 Compliance: Strictly adheres to the NAMUR NE43 specification, supporting programmable over-range sensor error tracking (over-range error up to +15%, under-range error as low as standard limits).
Digital Communication: Built-in HART pass-through functionality enables maintenance technicians to perform remote diagnostics, calibrate smart instruments, and change equipment parameters directly through the central DCS software interface, without deploying a physical handheld communicator.
Redundancy and Flexibility: Configurable as a standard single module or paired with dual modules for maximum system availability.
Diagnostic Panel Indicators: Equipped with three different front-facing LED indicators: Fault (red), Running (green), and Warning (yellow).
Module Termination Unit (MTU): Snaps directly into compatible ABB bases, including TU834, TU844, TU845, or TU854 MTUs.
Mounting: Compact DIN rail design.
