- Primarily used for specialized industrial and renewable energy management
Its compact design allows for integration into high-density electronic components, ensuring efficient heat dissipation without sacrificing excessive space. Furthermore, the HDZ-60-30C is designed to withstand harsh industrial environments, including high-temperature and corrosive conditions, while maintaining stable heat dissipation performance.
The HDZ-60-30C also supports modular integration with auxiliary cooling systems such as fans, liquid cooling circuits, or forced air ducts, enabling flexible application in various industrial fields. Its design minimizes thermal resistance, achieving rapid heat dissipation, which not only improves system efficiency but also extends the lifespan of sensitive electronic components. By reducing thermal stress, the HDZ-60-30C helps improve energy efficiency and ensures reliable operation under continuous or cyclic high-load conditions.
The HDZ-60-30C ABB Switch energy storage motor may still be available for purchase and support from Moore Automated Company beyond End-Of-Life (EOL) by the manufacturer (OEM).

The HDZ-60-30C operates by dissipating heat generated by electronic components through its thermally conductive aluminum base, which then diffuses the heat through its large-area heat sink fin structure. The heat is subsequently dissipated into the surrounding environment via convection or forced airflow. Optimized geometry and material composition ensure rapid heat transfer, keeping component temperatures within a safe operating range, preventing overheating, thus guaranteeing system stability and extending component lifespan.
The HDZ-60-30C is designed for high-demand environments where maintaining power stability is critical:
Grid Stabilization and Backup: Provides backup power and grid support, ensuring continuous operation during power fluctuations.
Peak Shaving: Helps industrial facilities manage electricity costs by releasing stored energy during peak demand periods.
Renewable Energy Grid Integration: Serves as a load balancing component in solar/wind hybrid systems to smooth out the intermittency of renewable energy sources.
Circuit Breaker Operation: Certain models can be used as spring-charged motors for high-voltage circuit breakers (such as ABB SF6 circuit breakers), providing the necessary mechanical energy for the operation of fast-switching equipment.
