Machinery Monitoring Role
Replacement Engineering
Features:
- Designed for the established Bently Nevada 7200 proximity-transducer platform.
- Uses eddy-current proximity measurement for shaft-relative machine monitoring.
- Requires compatible electronics and cabling to establish the complete measurement chain.
The Bently Nevada 21500-00-32-10-00 is a legacy proximity probe associated with the 7200 Series 5 mm and 8 mm proximity transducer family. Bently Nevada describes the 7200 technology as a non-contacting, gap-to-voltage transducer system that measures static and dynamic distance between the probe tip and the observed conductive target. This measurement principle is used for machinery condition monitoring where shaft-relative movement must be detected without physical contact.
The probe forms only one part of the complete proximity measurement system. Bently Nevada's technical guidance emphasizes the importance of maintaining compatible probe, cable, and Proximitor combinations and specifically recommends using genuine Bently Nevada components within a matched system rather than mixing eddy-current components from different manufacturers.
The 21500-00-32-10-00 Bently Nevada 7200 Series 5 mm Proximity Probe may still be available for purchase and support from Moore Automated Company beyond End-Of-Life (EOL) by the manufacturer (OEM).

Within a compatible 7200 system, proximity measurements can be used for shaft-relative displacement and vibration monitoring. Bently Nevada's current proximity-sensor documentation describes proximity systems as suitable for rotor shaft position and vibration measurement within fluid-film bearing clearances.
When replacing a 21500-00-32-10-00, verify the original installed 7200 system, mating electronics, cable arrangement, mounting dimensions, probe gap, target material, and monitoring-channel requirements. A visually similar modern probe should not be selected solely by probe diameter or thread size.
