The Bently Nevada 3500/70M 176449-09 is a four-channel Recip Impulse Velocity Monitor designed for machinery protection and condition monitoring of reciprocating equipment. It receives signals from compatible seismic transducers and conditions the inputs for impulse acceleration, acceleration, reciprocating velocity, and low-frequency reciprocating velocity measurements. Bently Nevada specifies a minimum transducer supply of −22 Vdc and a maximum supply current of 40 mA.
The module integrates into the Bently Nevada 3500 rack architecture and provides buffered transducer outputs, recorder outputs, configurable alarm setpoints, and signal-processing functions. Bently Nevada specifically identifies the 3500/70M for reciprocating-machine monitoring applications including crosshead vibration, frame vibration, and cylinder acceleration, using compatible transducers such as the 330425 Accelerometer and 190501 Velomitor CT.
The 3500/70M 176449-09 Bently Nevada Recip Impulse Velocity Monitor may still be available for purchase and support from Moore Automated Company beyond End-Of-Life (EOL) by the manufacturer (OEM).

The monitor provides configurable high-pass and low-pass filtering. For Recip Velocity and Low Frequency Recip Velocity functions, Bently Nevada specifies selectable filter ranges and dedicated integration/RMS/peak processing characteristics. The 1X and 2X vector filter uses a constant-Q configuration with bandwidth of approximately ±3% of running speed and Q = 16.7.
Each channel provides a front-panel coaxial buffered transducer output with short-circuit protection. The monitor also provides +4 to +20 mA recorder outputs, with a maximum load resistance of 600 Ω and an update rate of less than 100 ms.
