Information

Overview Manuals Principle Primary Applications

Features:

  • 990 Vibration Transmitter
  • Integrated Proximitor Sensor requires no external unit
  • Test Input pin for quick verification of loop signal output, using a function generator as the input
The 990 Vibration Transmitter is intended primarily for the original equipment manufacturers (OEMs) of centrifugal air compressors or small pumps, motors, or fans who prefer to provide a simple 4 to 20 mA proportional vibration signal as the input to their machinery control system.

The transmitter is a two-wire, loop-powered device that accepts input from our 3300 NSv proximity probe and its matching extension cable (available in 5 m and 7 m system length options).

The 990-05-50-02-05 Bently Nevada 990 Vibration Transmitter may still be available for purchase and support from Moore Automated Company beyond End-Of-Life (EOL) by the manufacturer (OEM).
Bently Nevada 990-05-50-02-05 990 Vibration Transmitter Manuals(Datasheets), Link Important Notice: Other accessories, manuals, cables, calibration data, software, etc. are not included with this equipment unless listed in the above stock item description. All prices are shown in USD.
The transmitter conditions the signal into appropriate peakto-peak vibration amplitude engineering units, and provides this value as a proportional 4 to 20 mA industry-standard signal as the input to the control system where machinery protection alarming and logic occurs.
This transmitter is designed for small, non-critical mechanical equipment, eliminating the need for complex monitoring systems:
  1. OEM Integration: Suitable for manufacturers of centrifugal air compressors, small pumps, motors, and fans.
  2. PLC/DCS Monitoring: Provides a cost-effective way to send vibration data to a PLC or DCS for basic trend analysis and mechanical protection logic.
  3. Confined Spaces: It only works with the 3300 NSv (narrow side-view) proximity probe, allowing installation in confined spaces where standard sensors cannot be installed.
  4. Field Diagnostics: Includes a "PROX OUT" coaxial connector for temporary connection to an oscilloscope or analyzer for detailed mechanical diagnostics without interrupting the 4-20 mA loop.
