SPMD1423 converts the compatible Unidrive SPM DC bus into controlled three-phase AC output for induction or servo-motor operation. In the documented active-input single-drive arrangement, two SPMD1423 modules use one SPMC1402 rectifier and active-input kit 400-3.
Before removal, save the complete drive parameters and record the module label, control and power connections, DC-bus arrangement, motor data, options, cooling path and braking execution. After installation, verify fans, DC-bus and drive diagnostics, motor direction, current feedback, speed or torque response, interlocks and the approved machine sequence.

The published Normal Duty rating is 290 A, with a typical motor output of 160 kW at 400 V / 250 hp at 460 V. Normal Duty is intended for variable-torque and other applications where the motor rated current remains within the documented continuous-current limit.
The published Heavy Duty rating is 246 A, with a typical motor output of 132 kW at 400 V / 200 hp at 460 V. Heavy Duty is intended for demanding applications and higher short-term overload, subject to the complete Unidrive SPM installation and motor-current selection.
In the documented active-input single-drive arrangement, two SPMD1423 modules use one SPMC1402 rectifier and active-input kit 400-3. The complete DC-bus, rectifier, active-input kit, inductor and master/slave arrangement must follow the approved drive-system design.
The 2 configuration identifies an output module without dynamic brake control. Do not specify a braking resistor connection for this execution. Record DC-bus polarity, precharge or soft-start provisions, braking hardware and protective interlocks before removal.
All Unidrive SPM modules require an external 24 V DC supply for their cooling fans. This model's documented cooling requirement is: External 24 V DC cooling-fan supply required. Keep the approved airflow path clear and apply the stated ambient-temperature derating.
After installation, verify control power, fan operation, DC-bus stability, module diagnostics, motor phase sequence, current feedback, speed or torque control, braking or regeneration behavior where applicable, and every affected interlock under a controlled commissioning procedure.
