Input signals from connected sensors are received and processed by the module's internal circuitry, and then transmitted to the PLC CPU via the backplane bus. Conversely, control commands from the CPU are routed through the module to the corresponding output channels to drive actuators or signaling devices. This module ensures reliable and accurate interaction between the PLC system and connected field devices by maintaining signal integrity, electrical isolation, and real-time communication.
Digital Inputs: 14 inputs (24V DC), 6 of which can be used for high-speed counting up to 100kHz.
Digital Outputs: 10 relay outputs (2A rated current per output).
Analog Inputs: 2 inputs (0–10V DC), 10-bit resolution.
Memory: 100KB to 150KB working memory (depending on firmware version) and 4MB integrated load memory.
Communication: Integrated PROFINET port, supporting Ethernet, TCP/IP, and Modbus protocols.
Expansion: Supports up to 1 signal board (SB) and 8 signal modules (SM) for I/O expansion.
1. Manufacturing and Production Lines: As the central control unit for production lines and automated equipment, it coordinates sensors such as proximity switches and encoders with actuators such as motors and valves.
2. Process Automation: Used in chemical plants and water treatment plants for real-time monitoring and control of temperature, pressure, flow rate, and liquid level.
3. Material Handling and Logistics: Manages conveyor systems and complex sorting mechanisms.
4. Packaging and Labeling: Particularly suitable for equipment requiring product positioning and tracking, as well as high-speed tool changes, such as edge banding machines.
