Style and CP471
Features:
- EC401-50 is the -5 standard non-explosion-protected, 0 basic-type execution of the EC401 one-port coupler.
- Yokogawa specifies 128 Mbps transmission, a 10 m maximum ESB distance and up to nine connectable units.
- Style S3 or later is required when the EC401 is combined with processor module CP471.
Yokogawa EC401-50 is a one-port ESB Bus Coupler Module for connecting a compatible Field Control Unit and Node Unit over the ESB bus in CENTUM VP. Yokogawa specifies up to nine connectable units, 128 Mbps I/O-module data transmission, maximum 10 m transmission distance and 0.5 A current consumption. Suffix -50 identifies the standard non-explosion-protected basic type. One module supports a non-redundant bus and two modules can form a dual-redundant ESB bus in the documented FCU slots. Hardware style remains essential: Yokogawa states that EC401 used with processor CP471 must be style S3 or later.
