ICMK-CS31-A1.0 provides the CS31 communication and configuration interface required to reproduce supported legacy Series 30 remote-I/O functions with an appropriate extension module. The eight configuration inputs select the required channel format, range or sensor wiring mode according to the installed extension.
Before removal, record the full label, supply selection, CS31 address, bus polarity and termination, configuration-input states, extension-module reference and field terminal allocation. After installation, verify power, isolated 24 VDC output and bus communication, then prove every mapped channel.

Eight isolated 24 VDC inputs define the supported replacement format. Inputs IN0 to IN7 are interpreted according to the connected extension module; some bits select channel count, analog mode, temperature mode or three-wire sensor operation, while reserved inputs must remain in the documented state.
Record all eight states before removal. Recreate only the pattern specified for the installed extension and legacy Series 30 function.
The remote unit connects to the CS31 system bus through an RS-485 interface. Confirm bus polarity, shielding, address setting, termination and the existing topology before replacement. The manual lists twisted-pair bus conductors from AWG 24 to AWG 18.
After energizing, confirm that the master detects the remote unit without bus errors, then verify all mapped channel addresses against the controller configuration.
This reference is the 120/230 VAC execution. Verify 97.75 to 126.5 VAC for a 120 V supply or 195.5 to 253 VAC for a 230 V supply. The unit provides an isolated 19.2 to 30 VDC supply for configuration inputs at up to 400 mA with short-circuit protection.
Confirm protective earth, removable terminal-block seating, conductor identification and supply isolation before energizing. Do not substitute the 24 VDC ICMK-CS31 execution.
