The AO810V2 (order number: 3BSE038415R1) is an 8-channel analog output module for ABB S800 I/O systems. As a direct upgrade and replacement for its predecessor, the AO810 (3BSE008522R1), it integrates seamlessly into the latest system architecture of ABB System 800xA Distributed Control Systems (DCS) and 800xA 6.0, providing precise and continuous control commands for field-controlled valves, frequency converters, and other actuators.
In terms of technical performance and electrical specifications, the AO810V2 3BSE038415R1 features eight independent single-ended unipolar analog output channels. It supports industry-standard 0-20 mA and 4-20 mA current loop signals and boasts a high-precision 14-bit digital-to-analog conversion resolution. Under different power supply conditions (L1+ or L2+ process power supply), its maximum load resistance capability (R_{Lmax}) is comprehensively improved to 500 to 850 ohms, with a conversion cycle of no more than 2 milliseconds, ensuring excellent process control drive capability and long-term stability.
Regarding safety protection and self-diagnostic mechanisms, the AO810V2 integrates high-standard short-circuit protection (safe short circuit to zero volts or +24V) and cyclic self-diagnostic functions. When the module detects that the process power supply voltage is too low, or that the single-channel output current is below 1mA due to an open circuit, it will automatically report an error to the system; at the same time, it perfectly supports the OSP (Output Safety Protection) function, which can immediately lock each channel to a preset safe state in the event of a communication interruption.
