The ABB ACS355-03E-05A6-4 is a low-voltage frequency converter designed specifically for mechanical applications. It supports 380-480V three-phase input, has a rated power of 2.2 kW, and enables high-performance sensorless vector control.
This device integrates a brake chopper, SIL3 Safe Torque Elimination (STO) functionality, and sequential programming capabilities. Through a rich set of digital/analog interfaces, it can precisely control asynchronous and permanent magnet synchronous motors, with output frequencies up to 599 Hz.
The ACS355-03E-05A6-4 ABB Low voltage AC Drive may still be available for purchase and support from Moore Automated Company beyond End-Of-Life (EOL) by the manufacturer (OEM).

Its operating principle is based on AC-DC-AC voltage source technology, rectifying AC power into DC power, and then using PWM technology to drive IGBTs to invert the DC power into frequency and voltage-adjustable three-phase AC power, thereby achieving efficient frequency and torque control. For more details, please refer to the ABB official documentation.
The ACS355 drives are designed to meet the requirements of an extensive range of machinery applications in food and beverage, material handling, lifting, textile, printing, rubber and plastics, and woodworking applications. The drive are user-friendly, yet provide a wide range of built-in technology, such as the safe torque off functionality and sequence programming, reducing the need for additional control electronics. The product offers options and diverse functionality to cater to the needs set for speed and torque control of AC induction and permanent magnet motors.
