The 1769-IF8 is a high-density analog input module from Allen-Bradley, a brand under Rockwell Automation. As a core member of classic Compact I/O systems, it is primarily designed for CompactLogix controllers and MicroLogix 1500 systems, extending the analog signal acquisition capabilities of control systems.
The 1769-IF8 features a compact rackless design, interlocking via its dedicated bus connector, and detachable terminal blocks (RTBs), significantly simplifying field wiring and equipment maintenance. In terms of technical performance and signal support, the module has eight independently configurable analog input channels, supporting both single-ended and differential connections. The signal type for each channel can be individually defined via software, ensuring perfect compatibility with common industrial current signals (4–20 mA, 0–20 mA) and voltage signals (±10V, 0–10V, 1–5V, 0–5V).
The 1769-IF8 employs a high-performance Delta-Sigma analog-to-digital converter with a digital resolution of up to 16 bits. It integrates digital filters (supporting 50/60 Hz power frequency interference suppression), over/under range detection, and sensor fault diagnosis to ensure accurate and reliable data acquisition.
