I/O Bank Arrangement

Features:
- 24 VDC Compact I/O expansion power supply.
- Provides 4 A at 5 VDC and 2 A at 24 VDC.
- Supports up to eight 1769 I/O modules on each side in the documented bank layout.
1769-PB4 provides additional backplane power for a qualified Allen-Bradley Compact I/O 1769 assembly. The complete catalog and series marking, I/O-bank layout, current demand and receiving controller limits must be verified before replacement.
Before removal, record the supply wiring, grounding, power-supply position, left and right I/O sequence, bus-current calculation and controller diagnostics. After installation, verify the 24 VDC source, module seating, end caps, bus current and every affected input and output.

The 24 VDC supply produces 4 A for the 5 VDC CompactBus and 2 A for the 24 VDC CompactBus. Calculate the complete bank load before installation.
The documented arrangement permits as many as eight 1769 I/O modules on either side of the expansion supply. Keep the approved left-to-right module order.
Inspect the rail or panel mounting, grounding conductor, bus connectors and end caps before energizing the bank.
