Difference between .001-2 and .00-2
How It Works
Features:
- Modular mechanical design using plug-in modules
- All connections are made using plug-in connectors
- ACOPOS servo drive, 3x 400-480 V, 2.2 A, 1 kW, coated, integrated line filter, braking resistor and electronic safe restart interlock
The 8V1022.001-2 is a high-performance ACOPOS series single-axis servo drive designed and manufactured by B&R Industrial Automation. This drive supports a wide input voltage range of 400 to 480 V three-phase AC, with a rated output current of 2.2 A and an output power of 1 kW. It is primarily used for high-precision position, speed, and torque control of synchronous servo motors and asynchronous induction motors.
Regarding environmental adaptability and hardware protection, the ".001-2" suffix indicates that the circuit board is protected by a special coating. This moisture-proof and dust-proof insulating coating significantly improves the driver's immunity to interference and lifespan in harsh industrial environments such as humid, dusty, or slightly corrosive gases. Furthermore, the product integrates a line filter and braking resistor, which effectively suppresses electromagnetic interference and rapidly dissipates the feedback energy generated by motor deceleration.
The 8V1022.001-2 B&R High-performance single-axis servo drive may still be available for purchase and support from Moore Automated Company beyond End-Of-Life (EOL) by the manufacturer (OEM).

Special Design of Model Suffix:
Compared to the standard model 8V1022.00-2, models with the .001-2 suffix have the following upgraded features:
Coated Protection Board: The circuit board surface undergoes a special moisture-proof and corrosion-resistant coating treatment, effectively resisting oil, moisture, and dust present at the factory, thus maintaining higher stability in harsh industrial environments.
Highly Integrated Safety Hardware: Internally integrated power line filter, braking resistor, and electronic safety restart interlock device, meeting modern mechanical safety standards without occupying additional control cabinet space.
In terms of operating principle, the 8V1022.001-2 servo drive employs advanced power conversion and fully digital closed-loop vector control technology.
First, the three-phase AC main power supply is filtered by a built-in power filter to remove high-frequency noise, and then converted to DC power by an internal rectifier bridge. This DC power supply is then filtered and regulated by a large-capacity capacitor to form a stable DC bus.
When the main control PLC sends motion control commands via the POWERLINK bus, the driver's internal digital signal processor (DSP), combined with the motor's current position and current data fed back from the encoder, performs high-speed calculations using a specific vector control algorithm.
Finally, the DSP precisely adjusts the pulse width modulation (PWM) duty cycle of the internal IGBT inverter power stage, converting the DC power supply into a three-phase AC power supply with adjustable voltage and frequency, and outputting it to the motor, thereby achieving high dynamic and high-precision closed-loop motion tracking.
