Features:
- Integrated Velocity Output: Piezoelectric sensing and internal electronics provide a signal proportional to machinery vibration velocity.
- No Moving Pickup Mechanism: The solid-state construction avoids the moving elements associated with electromechanical velocity transducers.
- Industrial Signal Isolation: The case is isolated from the signal circuit and uses a two-pin MIL-C-26482 connection.
The Bently Nevada 330525-01 Velomitor XA is a solid-state piezo-velocity transducer for measuring vibration on machinery casings and bearing housings. Its sensing element and internal electronics produce a velocity-proportional signal without the moving parts used in traditional electromechanical velocity pickups. The nominal sensitivity is 100 mV/in/s, equivalent to 3.94 mV/mm/s, with a ±5% tolerance. A broad 4.5–2000 Hz response supports compatible machinery-monitoring applications, while the 316L stainless-steel enclosure and isolated case support installation in demanding industrial environments. This -01 execution has CSA/NRTL/C approvals; cable selection, mounting and the applicable installation documentation remain part of the complete measuring system.
Reliable velocity measurements depend on the sensor mounting location, surface preparation and signal conditioning as well as the transducer itself. The specified frequency response has different tolerance bands, so a measurement near the lower frequency limit should not be compared with the tighter midband rating. Correct cable assemblies are also required for the stated weatherproof performance. Preserve the -01 approval code and consult the relevant installation drawing before using this sensor in a classified location.

The response is specified as 4.5–2000 Hz within ±3 dB and 6–1000 Hz within ±0.9 dB. Choose the measurement band with the required amplitude accuracy in mind.
IP65/NEMA 4X-equivalent weatherproof performance requires the specified mating cable arrangement. The connector and installed cable are part of the environmental protection system.
The transducer requires a negative supply between -22 and -30 VDC with 2.5–6 mA bias current. The nominal output bias is -12 VDC with a ±3 V tolerance.
