Features:
- 990 Vibration Transmitter
- Integrated Proximitor Sensor requires no external unit
- Test Input pin for quick verification of loop signal output, using a function generator as the input
The Model 990 vibration transmitter is primarily targeted at original equipment manufacturers (OEMs) of centrifugal air compressors or small pumps, motors or fans who want to provide a simple 4 to 20 mA proportional vibration signal as input to their mechanical control systems.
The transmitter is a two-wire, loop-powered device that accepts input from our 3300 NSv proximity probe and its matching extension cable (available in 5 m and 7 m system length options).
The 990-08-50-01-05 Bently Nevada 990 Vibration Transmitter may still be available for purchase and support from Moore Automated Company beyond End-Of-Life (EOL) by the manufacturer (OEM).

The 990-08-50-01-05 vibration transmitter is a 4-20 mA loop-powered device from Bently Nevada designed to simplify the protection of machinery. It integrates a proximity sensor and transmitter into a single module, eliminating the need for expensive dedicated rack-mounted monitoring systems like the Bently Nevada 3500. This transmitter can be directly connected to standard programmable logic controllers (PLCs) or distributed control systems (DCS) for monitoring radial shaft vibration in non-critical or auxiliary equipment.
1.OEM Skid-Mounted Assembly: Original equipment manufacturers (OEMs) can directly integrate this module into the control panels of industrial air compressors, small pumps, and blowers, providing end-users with plug-and-play vibration monitoring capabilities.
2.Auxiliary Equipment (BOP): Ideal for monitoring critical but non-critical equipment such as cooling tower fans, water pumps, and small electric motors, where a complete 3500 rack-mount system would be prohibitively expensive.
3.Hazardous process installations: -05 Multi-agency certifications allow this transmitter to be installed in process areas containing explosive gases, commonly found in petrochemical facilities, refineries, and gas metering skids.
