Honeywell's reviewed Series 8 source identifies 8C-PDIL51 as the coated 32-channel 24 VDC digital-input IOM. With user-supplied field power, the documented range is 18-30 VDC. ON sensing requires at least 13 VDC or 3 mA, while OFF sensing is no more than 5 VDC or 1.2 mA. The input path uses 4.2-kilohm impedance, optical isolation within the IOM and a 5 ms plus or minus 20 percent filter-and-isolation delay. These values describe the base model, not every unverified suffix variation.
The base module is paired with 8C-TDIL51 for a nominal nine-inch nonredundant coated IOTA or 8C-TDIL61 for a nominal twelve-inch redundant coated IOTA. Those lengths identify termination assemblies, not shipping dimensions. The reviewed source does not list 51454359-176, so this product page preserves that item marking but does not treat it as equivalent to the commonly documented -175 suffix without evidence. Confirm the full nameplate, revision, IOTA, field-power selection and controller database before installation.

Apply the documented 18-30 VDC field-power range and preserve polarity, commons, field-power source, channel numbering and controller indication. Verify ON and OFF thresholds against the connected contact or powered device. This base module is for discrete 24 VDC states, not analog current-loop measurement.
Match the installed termination architecture before moving conductors. The reviewed source pairs the coated base IOM with 8C-TDIL51 for nonredundant service or 8C-TDIL61 for redundant service. Record terminal assignments, grounding, field-power selection and cabinet keying before removal.
The reviewed Honeywell source identifies 8C-PDIL51 but does not list the 51454359-176 ordering suffix. Compare the allocated item's complete label, certification marks, hardware revision, connector form and order history before approval. Do not silently substitute the commonly documented -175 suffix or another prefix.
