Honeywell's IPC 620-25/35 User Manual lists 620-0027 as a 8K (8,192-word) memory module. It says this module stores the user control program and has a front PASS LED that lights after a successful self-test. The primary memory position is slot C in the 620-25 and slot E in the 620-35. These are specific to the documented processor racks; an unrelated 620 variant must not be assumed compatible just because its model begins with the same three digits.
The manufacturer explains that additional memory modules can occupy option slots to increase total controller program storage, subject to a contiguous address space and the system's stated maximum. A four-position DIP switch sets each module's starting address. Before removing a module, save a verified program backup, record the entire memory map and switch positions, identify the installed processor and rack, and follow maintenance and ESD procedures. Restore only the approved configuration, then validate program integrity, module self-test and affected control functions. The manual is dated February 1988, so current spare availability and revision interchangeability require separate confirmation.

The Honeywell manual maps exact 620-0027 to 8K (8,192 words) of program memory. The capacity belongs to this specific module, not every IPC 620 memory board. Check the physical label, receiving rack, module revision and existing memory map before ordering. Do not infer interchangeability from a neighboring part number or a similar front-panel appearance.
The manufacturer places primary memory in slot C of the IPC 620-25 or slot E of the IPC 620-35. Additional approved modules may use option slots. Each module's front DIP switch sets its starting address, and the program-memory space must remain contiguous. Record every installed module and switch position before removal so the replacement does not create an address gap or overlap.
