Features:

OSM TP62 provides a bridge between local twisted-pair connections and the optical links used by the OSM network. The allowable segment length depends on the specified multimode fiber, attenuation and optical budget, rather than the order number alone.
For an installed-base replacement, record port assignments, digital-input wiring, management configuration and redundancy settings before removal. A newer switch must be assessed for the required topology and behavior; a generic Ethernet port count is not a sufficient compatibility check.
Siemens lists 6GK1105-2AB10 as discontinued. Moore Automated can check installed-base supply and the offered unit’s identity; migration to SCALANCE equipment requires an application-specific engineering review.

Copper and optical interfaces
Six RJ45 ports support 10/100 Mbps with autonegotiation and autocrossover. Optical ports 7 and 8 use BFOC connectors at 100 Mbps full duplex. Apply the manual’s multimode-fiber and optical-budget requirements.
Eight 24 V DC inputs
The 2AB10 execution includes eight digital inputs. Their states are accessible through the MIB using SNMP; notifications and event logging depend on device configuration. The 2AB00 execution omits these inputs.
Topology-specific redundancy
The OEM manual describes rings with up to 50 OSM units and reconfiguration below 0.3 seconds under the documented conditions. Verify ring-manager settings and the whole network design before replacement or migration.
