Features:
- Sipart PS2 I/P Positioner
- A specific configuration of the Siemens SIPART PS2 intelligent electro-pneumatic positioner
- Precisely controls the valve position of pneumatic linear or partially rotary actuators based on control signals
The 6DR5013-0FN00-0AA3 is a microprocessor-based intelligent valve positioner designed to provide high-precision positioning control for pneumatic control valves in both continuous and intermittent production industries. It continuously compares the control signal (typically 4–20 mA) with the actual valve position and adjusts the actuator's pneumatic output pressure to ensure the valve stem reaches and remains in the commanded position with minimal deviation.
The device integrates advanced diagnostics, communication capabilities, and flexible installation options for both linear and rotary actuators, allowing for seamless deployment into modern distributed control systems. Built-in self-monitoring detects friction variations, leaks, actuator wear, and response anomalies, supporting predictive maintenance and reducing unplanned downtime.
The 6DR5013-0FN00-0AA3 Siemens Sipart PS2 I/P Positioner may still be available for purchase and support from Moore Automated Company beyond End-Of-Life (EOL) by the manufacturer (OEM).

The 6DR5013-0FN00-0AA3 is based on electro-pneumatic closed-loop position control. This device receives an electrical control signal representing the desired valve position and uses an internal position sensor to measure the actual valve stroke. The microcontroller processes the deviation between the set position and the actual position and drives the internal I/P (current-to-pressure) converter and pneumatic pilot valve.
This product is a "general purpose" component, suitable for linear and partial rotary actuators, making it versatile and applicable to:
General Industrial Automation: Controlling process valves in the chemical, food and beverage, and pharmaceutical industries.
Marine Systems: Commonly used in marine control systems due to its robust aluminum housing and reliable performance in harsh environments.
Infrastructure: Automating dampers and actuators in water/wastewater treatment plants and power plants.
Condition Monitoring: Used for advanced diagnostics, enabling early detection of problems such as slow valve operation or diaphragm leakage, thus helping to prevent unplanned downtime.
