The AI830 (order number: 3BSE008518R1) is an analog input module for resistance temperature detectors (RTDs) in the ABB S800 I/O system. As a core component of the ABB System 800xA distributed control system (DCS) and Advant control system, it is designed for high-precision temperature data acquisition and is widely used in industrial processes requiring precise temperature monitoring, such as chemical, power, and metallurgical industries.
In terms of channel configuration and technical performance, the AI830 3BSE008518R1 is equipped with eight independent RTD input channels. It supports not only commonly used standard RTD sensors such as Pt100, Cu10, Ni100, and Ni120, but also resistance/potential meter signal input. The module uses a standard three-wire connection and features automatic line resistance compensation. Furthermore, it integrates efficient linearization, allowing direct output of Celsius or Fahrenheit temperature values. The AI830 employs a 14-bit high-resolution signal, ensuring excellent temperature measurement accuracy and stability.
