Its core function is to provide highly reliable and stable DC power to critical equipment in industrial control networks, supporting the continuous operation of core components such as PLCs, DCS controllers, sensors, and actuators.
This module features wide voltage input adaptability (90-264VAC), capable of simultaneously outputting multiple standard voltages (5V, +15V, -15V, and 24V VDC) from a single device, perfectly meeting the power requirements of complex automation architectures.
The P-HA-RPS-32000000 ABB Power Supply Module may still be available for purchase and support from Moore Automated Company beyond End-Of-Life (EOL) by the manufacturer (OEM).

The P-HA-RPS-32000000 power module is based on advanced high-frequency switching power supply (SMPS) technology and rectification and filtering mechanisms.
First, the module receives an AC input of 47-63 Hz and converts it to high-voltage DC power through an internal rectifier bridge and a large-capacity filter circuit.
Then, a pulse width modulation (PWM) control chip drives high-frequency switching transistors (such as MOSFETs) to switch rapidly, converting the DC power into high-frequency pulsed current. These pulsed currents are then safely electrically isolated and stepped down by a high-frequency transformer.
Finally, the stepped-down high-frequency AC power is smoothed by secondary high-speed rectifier diodes and an LC filter, ultimately outputting low-ripple, precise, and stable 5V, ±15V, and 24V DC voltages.
Simultaneously, a closed-loop feedback loop monitors output voltage changes in real time and dynamically fine-tunes the duty cycle of the switching transistors to cope with external power grid fluctuations or load transients.
DCS Infrastructure Power: Powers the entire system row, processing cards, backplane, and communication modules within Symphony Plus or INFI 90 rackmount components.
System Modernization: As a core component of the Harmony Power Upgrade Kit, it phases out outdated and inefficient legacy power supply bays.
High-Load Component Driving: Provides high current to power integrated circuits (ASICs), field-programmable gate arrays (FPGAs), digital signal processors (DSPs), and multi-channel analog I/O loops.
Centralized Field Device Power: Provides the 24V DC bus required to operate remote industrial sensors, field actuators, and disconnect switches.
