The ABB RINT-5521C (3AUA0000016016E) is a main circuit interface board designed specifically for the ACS800 series frequency converters. As the core control element of the converter, it primarily coordinates the data flow between the control unit and power semiconductor devices (such as IGBTs), ensuring precise control of the speed and torque of high-power motors from 55kW to 75kW. Furthermore, this board integrates critical monitoring functions, capable of tracking current, voltage, and temperature status in real time, providing necessary operational feedback for industrial drive systems.
The RINT-5521C plays a crucial protective role in system safety and stability. It integrates a Safe Torque Interruption (STO) function, meeting high-level industrial safety standards (such as SIL 3), enabling rapid torque cutoff in emergencies to prevent accidents. Simultaneously, the board employs an enhanced electromagnetic compatibility design, allowing for long-term stable operation in harsh industrial environments with high temperatures, strong vibrations, and complex electromagnetic interference, making it a key hardware component for ensuring the continuous operation of automated production lines.
The RINT-5521C 3AUA0000016016E ABB Inverter Control Drive Board may still be available for purchase and support from Moore Automated Company beyond End-Of-Life (EOL) by the manufacturer (OEM).

Its working principle is based on signal level conversion and power drive: the circuit board receives low-voltage pulse width modulation (PWM) command signals from the control unit (e.g., RMIO board) and converts them into gate control signals sufficient to drive high-power IGBT modules through internal logic circuits. During signal transmission, optical isolation technology is used to ensure electrical isolation between the high-voltage power supply terminal and the low-voltage control terminal. Simultaneously, the sensing circuit on the board collects bus voltage and output current in real time, filters and converts them from analog to digital, and then feeds them back to the microprocessor to achieve real-time adjustment of the closed-loop control algorithm.
ACS800 Drive Systems: This board is a key internal component of the ABB ACS800-01, -04, and -07 drive modules. Its dimensions are specifically designed for rack sizes corresponding to the 55kW and 75kW power ratings.
Heavy Industrial Motor Control: Suitable for environments requiring precise speed and torque regulation of large induction motors, such as:
Metals & Mining: Powering heavy-duty conveyors, crushers, and winches.
Water & Wastewater Treatment: Managing large-capacity centrifugal pumps and aeration blowers.
Oil & Gas: Controlling gas compressors and offshore drilling winches.
Pulp & Paper: Driving large rollers and milling mills requiring constant torque.
High-Safety Automation: Suitable for production lines requiring SIL 3/PLE safety standards to prevent accidental motor starts due to support for Safe Torque Off (STO) functionality.
