The Allen-Bradley 2711P-T12C4A8 is a PanelView Plus 6 operator terminal featuring a 12.1-inch color display, an embedded analog resistive touchscreen, integrated 512 MB of flash memory and 512 MB of random access memory (RAM), and integrated Ethernet, RS232 communication ports, and a USB interface. This operator terminal operates from 100 to 240 VAC at a frequency of 50-60 Hz.
The 2711P-T12C4A8 has a built-in battery with an expected lifespan of at least four (4) years. It is primarily used to provide timestamps for critical data. This battery-powered clock is accurate to +/- 2 minutes. If the battery is low, it can be replaced in the field using a battery with product number 2711P-RY2032. It also supports File Transfer Protocol (FTP), ActiveX controls, and a PDF file viewer.
The 2711P-T12C4A8 Allen-Bradley PanelView Plus 6 1200 Operator Terminals may still be available for purchase and support from Moore Automated Company beyond End-Of-Life (EOL) by the manufacturer (OEM).

After entering the configuration menu, you must configure the communication parameters so that the terminal can communicate with your computer and PLC.
1.Navigate to IP options: Go to Terminal Settings > Networking and Communications > Network Connections > Network Adapters > IP Addresses.
2.Set Static IP: Select "Use a static IP address" (strongly recommended for industrial networks), and then enter your specified IP address, subnet mask, and gateway.
3.Default credentials: If prompted for administrator privileges, the default username for older PanelView Plus 6 terminals is Administrator, and the password is password.
