EtherNet/IP (Ethernet Industrial Protocol) is an open industrial networking technology that supports the transmission and exchange of real-time I/O messages. The Ethernet port connects to the controller on the EtherNet/IP network via a network and standard Ethernet connection. This port can also be used for application transmission and printing. The EtherNet/IP screen is used to display and allow users to modify certain EtherNet/IP communication settings of the PanelView terminal. If an additional Ethernet port is required, the 2711P-RN20 Ethernet communication module is available as an option for the 700 to 1500 series terminals. This module has an independent IP address. This port is equipped with an RJ45 10/100Base-T connector for network communication and supports MDI/MDI-X connections. Relevant parameters are downloaded with the application.
- Machine-level Visualization: Serves as the primary interface for operators to view real-time data, process simulations, and machine status on the manufacturing production line.
- Advanced Control Tasks: Can be integrated into complex industrial systems, such as production automation and motion control environments requiring precise user input via keyboard.
- Harsh Industrial Environments: Designed for locations requiring high durability, such as oil and gas plants or chemical plants. Its front panel has a NEMA 4/4X/12/13 (IP65) protection rating, withstanding humid, dusty, and clean environments.
- Data Logging and Recipe Management: Suitable for applications requiring tracking production data or managing multi-step operational "recipes" for manufacturing different products on the same production line.
