- Supports a 2 mm linear range with a nominal 7.87 V/mm scale factor.
The Bently Nevada 330104-00-10-10-02-00 is a 3300 XL 8 mm Proximity Probe designed for non-contact measurement of machinery shaft position and vibration. The exact configuration uses an M10 × 1 thread, a 0.0 in unthreaded length, a 1.0 in overall case length, a 1.0 m total probe length, a miniature coaxial ClickLoc connector, and standard cable. The probe is equipped with flexible stainless-steel armor for the cable assembly.
As a component of the 3300 XL 8 mm system, the probe works with a compatible extension cable and Proximitor Sensor to provide a proportional output related to the distance between the probe tip and conductive target. Bently Nevada specifies a nominal 7.87 V/mm (200 mV/mil) scale factor and a 2 mm (80 mil) linear range for the standard 3300 XL 8 mm system. The system is intended for vibration and position measurements on fluid-film bearing machines and can also support Keyphasor reference and speed measurements when the complete system is configured appropriately.
The 330104-00-10-10-02-00 Bently Nevada 3300 XL 8 mm Proximity Probes may still be available for purchase and support from Moore Automated Company beyond End-Of-Life (EOL) by the manufacturer (OEM).

The exact 330104 configuration uses an M10 × 1 probe thread. The OEM specifies a maximum M10 × 1 thread engagement of 15 mm. For standard forward-mounted probes, the recommended case torque is 11.2 N·m (100 in-lbf) and the maximum rated torque is 33.9 N·m (300 in-lbf).
The probe is intended to operate with compatible 3300 XL 8 mm extension cables and Proximitor Sensors. Bently Nevada states that 3300 XL 8 mm components are electrically and physically interchangeable with non-XL 3300 5 mm and 8 mm components when the specified mechanical constraints, including cable bend radius, are observed. Mixing XL and non-XL components, however, can limit system performance to the applicable non-XL specifications.
For installations using multiple proximity systems, Bently Nevada recommends maintaining adequate separation between probe tips to control cross-talk. The manufacturer generally recommends at least 40 mm axial separation for axial-position measurements or 38 mm radial separation for radial-vibration measurements under the specified conditions.
