Overview Manuals Main Features Key Industrial Applications

Features:

  • Interconnect Cable
  • Interconnect Cables for 330400 and 330425 Accelerometer
  • 3-conductor shielded 22 AWG (0.5 mm2) armored cable with 3-socket plug at one end
3-conductor shielded 22 AWG (0.5 mm2) armored cable with 3-socket plug at one end, terminal lugs at the other end. Minimum length of 3.0 ft (0.9 m), maximum length of 99 ft (30 m).

These accelerometers are suitable for critical mechanical applications requiring the measurement of housing acceleration, such as gear meshing monitoring. The Model 330400 accelerometer is designed to meet the American Petroleum Institute (API) 670 standard for accelerometers. It has a peak amplitude range of 50 g and a sensitivity of 100 mV/g. The Model 330425 accelerometer is similar, but has a larger peak amplitude range (75 g) and a sensitivity of 25 mV/g.

The 16925-02 Bently Nevada Interconnect Cable may still be available for purchase and support from Moore Automated Company beyond End-Of-Life (EOL) by the manufacturer (OEM).

If housing measurements are performed for comprehensive machine protection, the applicability of the measurement results to each application should be considered. Most common machine failures (imbalance, misalignment, etc.) originate from the rotor and cause increased (or at least altered) rotor vibration. For any individual housing measurement to effectively protect the entire machine, it is essential to ensure that rotor vibration is accurately transmitted to the bearing housing or housing, and more specifically, to the sensor's mounting location.
Sensor Interconnection: It provides a reliable signal path between sensors (such as the 330400 or 330425 accelerometer) and monitoring units or proximity sensors.

Housing Accelerometer: Widely used for monitoring gear meshing vibration, pump cavitation, and other high-frequency mechanical faults requiring housing measurements.

Harsh Environments: This cable is designed to withstand industrial environments, including extreme temperatures and electromagnetic interference (EMI).

Ask our team:

  • What is the primary signal transmission function of the 16925-02 in a vibration monitoring signal chain?
The 16925-02 is a precision interconnect cable assembly designed to transmit low-amplitude dynamic signals between proximity sensors and signal conditioning modules, while maintaining waveform fidelity and minimizing attenuation.
  • How does the 16925-02 ensure electromagnetic integrity in high-noise industrial environments?
The 16925-02 employs a multi-layered shielding structure and a controlled impedance conductor design to mitigate electromagnetic interference (EMI) and radio frequency interference (RFI), thereby ensuring signal stability in electrically dense environments.
  • Why is the 16925-02 considered a critical metrology component, rather than a standard industrial cable?
The 16925-02 is calibrated as part of the measurement chain, meaning its electrical characteristics are rigorously controlled to maintain the sensitivity, phase response, and amplitude accuracy of the entire sensor system.
  • Why is the installation method critical to the performance of the 16925-02?
Proper installation of the 16925-02, including correct wiring, stress relief, and grounding measures, is crucial for preventing noise coupling and ensuring long-term measurement reliability.
  • How does 16925-02 maintain phase and amplitude integrity in dynamic signal applications?
16925-02 maintains controlled impedance characteristics and shielding continuity, thereby preventing phase shift distortion and amplitude attenuation in high-frequency vibration signals.
  • Why is 16925-02 listed as a critical component in turbomachinery instrumentation systems?
16925-02 is an essential electrical connection in the proximity measurement chain; any degradation in its performance directly impacts diagnostic accuracy, protection logic reliability, and overall mechanical safety.
