These accelerometers are suitable for critical mechanical applications requiring the measurement of housing acceleration, such as gear meshing monitoring. The Model 330400 accelerometer is designed to meet the American Petroleum Institute (API) 670 standard for accelerometers. It has a peak amplitude range of 50 g and a sensitivity of 100 mV/g. The Model 330425 accelerometer is similar, but has a larger peak amplitude range (75 g) and a sensitivity of 25 mV/g.

The 16925-17 Bently Nevada Interconnect Cable may still be available for purchase and support from Moore Automated Company beyond End-Of-Life (EOL) by the manufacturer (OEM).

If housing measurements are performed for comprehensive machine protection, the applicability of the measurement results to each application should be considered. Most common machine failures (imbalance, misalignment, etc.) originate from the rotor and cause increased (or at least altered) rotor vibration. For any individual housing measurement to effectively protect the entire machine, it is essential to ensure that rotor vibration is accurately transmitted to the bearing housing or housing, and more specifically, to the sensor's mounting location.
This cable is primarily used as a critical connection in machinery protection and condition monitoring systems:

Accelerometer Connection: Designed specifically for connecting 330400 and 330425 accelerometer sensors to monitoring units.

Industrial Automation Integration: Ideal for integrating Bently Nevada sensors with PLC (Programmable Logic Controller) and PAC (Programmable Automation Controller) systems for real-time monitoring and diagnostics.

Machinery Protection: Used in critical equipment such as turbines, compressors, and motors to monitor casing acceleration, crucial for detecting issues like gear meshing faults or rotor imbalances.

Energy and Manufacturing: Widely used in industries such as oil and gas, power generation, and chemical manufacturing, where stable data transmission is required in harsh environments.
