Features:
- Eddy Current Displacement Transducer
- Non-contact sensors designed for critical turbomachinery applications
- Used to measure dynamic displacement of radial and axial shafts; position, eccentricity and velocity
Its primary function is to convert the high-frequency signal generated by the PR6423 proximity probe into a stable, calibrated analog output proportional to the measurement gap between the probe and the target surface. This enables precise measurement of shaft displacement and vibration in rotating equipment such as turbines, compressors, and pumps.
It is designed to maintain signal integrity, functioning even under conditions of electromagnetic interference, temperature variations, and mechanical vibration. The module supports precise calibration matching with its accompanying probe system, ensuring consistent and repeatable measurement performance throughout the monitoring chain.
The PR6423/003-130 CON021 EPRO Eddy Current Displacement Transducer may still be available for purchase and support from Moore Automated Company beyond End-Of-Life (EOL) by the manufacturer (OEM).

It receives the alternating electromagnetic signal induced by the proximity probe, processes and demodulates it through internal electronics, and converts it into a proportional DC voltage output. This output accurately represents the physical distance between the probe and the conductive target, enabling real-time monitoring of shaft position and dynamic motion in rotating machinery systems.
PR6423/003-130 Sensor: An 8 mm diameter probe that utilizes the eddy current effect to measure the distance to a target (typically ferromagnetic steel, such as 42CrMo4).
CON021 Signal Converter: Acts as an interface to power the sensor and convert its high-frequency signal to a standard industrial output, such as 0–10V or 4–20mA, for integration with PLC or DCS systems.
Measurement Range: Typically provides a linear measurement range of up to 2 mm (80 mils) for high-resolution monitoring.
