This processor module is part of the Modicon M340 series of programmable automation controllers (PACs). It supports up to four-rack configurations, providing 36 application-specific channels, 63 CANopen slaves, and 11 slots. The module consumes 135mA at 24V DC and is powered by an internal power supply.
It is rugged, high-quality, and based on the latest innovative technology. The communication processor module interfaces include two Ethernet modules and four AS-Interface modules. It comes with a memory card for backing up programs, constants, symbols, and data. The product has an IP20 protection rating. The module provides 1024 discrete I/O processors in a multi-rack configuration and 704 discrete I/O processors in a single-rack configuration; additionally, it provides 256 analog I/O processors in a multi-rack configuration and 66 analog I/O processors in a single-rack configuration.

This processor module is compatible with the Modicon M340 programmable logic controller (PLC). It features a memory card (BMXRMS008MP) for backing up programs, constants, symbols, and data; 4096kB of internal RAM; 256kB of internal RAM for data storage; and 3584kB of internal RAM for storing program constants and symbols. The Modicon M340 boasts a compact design, integrating flexibility and functionality into a small chassis. As the core of the process, it offers plug-and-play compatibility with Schneider Electric and third-party devices.
