Features:
- Discrete Output Module Modicon X80
- Discrete output module, 16 transistor outputs, 24V DC positive
- This module is connected via 20-way removable terminal block
Its primary function is to transmit control commands from the PLC to field actuators, such as contactors, solenoid valves, indicator lights, and relay coils. The BMXDDO1602 features a compact, modular design and provides multiple output channels for efficient control of distributed field devices in industrial automation systems.
In practical applications, the BMXDDO1602 ensures reliable switching performance and stable load drive capability under industrial operating conditions. It supports channel grouping and status indication via front panel LEDs, enabling operators to monitor output status in real time. Integrated into the M340 backplane architecture, the BMXDDO1602 enables deterministic command execution and coordinated machine or process control in production lines, material handling systems, and process plants.
The BMXDDO1602 Schneider Electric Discrete Output Module may still be available for purchase and support from Moore Automated Company beyond End-Of-Life (EOL) by the manufacturer (OEM).

The BMXDDO1602 operates based on digital instruction processing and solid-state or transistor switching technology. The PLC CPU sends logic-level output commands to the module via the internal backplane bus. The BMXDDO1602 converts these logic commands into electrical output signals, thereby controlling the energization or de-energization of connected loads. Internal isolation and protection circuitry protects the module from short circuits, overcurrents, and electrical interference, ensuring reliable operation and system integrity.
