Features:
- High-performance digital input module
- Part of the Modicon X80 range
- Discrete input module, Modicon X80, 32 inputs, 24V DC positive
Its primary function is to acquire binary input signals from field devices such as buttons, limit switches, proximity sensors, and auxiliary contacts. The BMXDDI3202K features high-density input capabilities, allowing simultaneous monitoring of multiple digital signals within a compact control cabinet, thereby improving system scalability and cabling efficiency in industrial automation environments.
From an application perspective, the BMXDDI3202K supports reliable status detection and fast signal processing, making it suitable for machine control, process interlocking, and safety-related monitoring (non-SIL). It features channel grouping, LED status indicators, and built-in diagnostics to help maintenance personnel troubleshoot line faults or abnormal signals. Integrated into the M340 backplane, the BMXDDI3202K ensures stable communication with the PLC CPU and contributes to deterministic control performance in manufacturing, material handling, and infrastructure systems.
The BMXDDI3202K Schneider Electric Digital input module may still be available for purchase and support from Moore Automated Company beyond End-Of-Life (EOL) by the manufacturer (OEM).

The BMXDDI3202K operates based on discrete signal acquisition and internal logic level conversion principles. Input field voltage signals are filtered and protected against external interference through optoelectronic or electrical isolation. The processed signals are converted into standardized logic states (0 or 1) and transmitted to the PLC processor via the module's internal bus interface. The CPU interprets these digital states in the control program to execute the corresponding automation logic and control actions.
