In terms of operation, this control unit acts as the "brain" of the drive system, receiving commands from a host computer (such as a PLC) and feedback signals from encoders and field sensors. It utilizes its internal high-speed digital signal processor (DSP) to run complex control algorithms, calculating precise voltage and frequency commands, and transmitting them to the lower-level power module via an internal bus to drive the motor.
