Features:
- SIMATIC ET 200SP, PROFINET bundle IM
- IM 155-6PN ST, max. 32 I/O modules and 16 ET 200AL modules
- Distributed I/O stations are connected to the central controller (PLC) via the PROFINET industrial Ethernet protocol
This module is primarily used to connect the SIMATIC ET 200SP system to the PROFINET network, supporting up to 32 peripheral modules and expandable to 16 ET 200AL modules. Its core features include support for single-module hot-swapping, allowing I/O module replacement without system downtime, making it ideal for industrial environments with high continuous production requirements.
Furthermore, the kit integrates a bus adapter (BusAdapter BA 2xRJ45) and a server module, providing advanced functions such as I&M identification data, PROFIenergy energy management, and device sharing, thereby achieving efficient automated asset management.
The 6ES7155-6AA01-0BN0 Siemens SIMATIC ET 200SP PROFINET Bundle may still be available for purchase and support from Moore Automated Company beyond End-Of-Life (EOL) by the manufacturer (OEM).

Its operating principle is as a communication gateway for remote I/O stations. It receives control signals from Siemens PROFINET industrial Ethernet via a built-in two-port switch, converts them into backplane bus signals, and then transmits these signals to the individual I/O modules connected to it. Simultaneously, it acquires sensor signals or actuator status in real time and packages them for feedback to the upper-level controller (e.g., S7-1500 CPU). This closed-loop data exchange enables distributed control, effectively simplifies field wiring, and enhances the system's scalability and flexibility.
Please note that this particular model (6AA01) is planned to be phased out and will be replaced by the fully compatible successor model 6ES7155-6AU02-0BN0.
