ABB NROI01 is a remote i/o termination unit for Harmony Rack and INFI 90 control-system hardware. Its role is defined by the connected module, cable and field or network circuits.

NROI01 is a configuration-specific Harmony Rack remote I/O termination unit. Match the remote I/O module and cable, verify the link media and topology, preserve termination and grounding, and confirm communications before restoring control.
System Compatibility:
- Use with the ABB Harmony Rack remote I/O interface and cable configuration that specifically calls for NROI01. Module and media matching is mandatory.
- Match the module cable and hardware revision.
- Verify field or network wiring before commissioning.
It terminates the controller-side remote I/O communication connection in distributed Harmony Rack installations.
Installation Guidance:
- Isolate cabinet and field power before wiring.
- Preserve terminal identification and cable routing.
- Complete a functional check before process operation.
Isolate the rack, document the link wiring, match the communication module and cable, reproduce termination and grounding, and validate the remote I/O link before enabling outputs.
