The ABB NTDI01 is a digital I/O terminal unit designed specifically for industrial automation systems. As a Harmony rack-mount I/O device, it is a key component of the Symphony enterprise management control system, fully compatible with the classic INFI 90 OPEN strategic enterprise management system and the latest Symphony Plus rack-mount system. This unit is primarily installed within a control cabinet, efficiently facilitating physical and electrical connections between factory field devices and INFI 90 process control modules through a panel-mount flat circuit board structure.
The core function of the ABB NTDI01 is to provide a reliable signal transmission path between 16 I/O signals and various control and functional modules. According to ABB's official technical specifications, the NTDI01 can be widely used with a variety of modules, including digital input modules (DSI12, DSI13, DSI14, DSI15), digital output modules (DSO14, DSO15), analog output modules (ASO11), pulse input modules (DSM04), frequency counting modules (FCS01), and hydraulic servo modules (HSS03/HSS05), thus achieving extremely high system integration and module compatibility.
In terms of physical interfaces and electrical design, the NTDI01 adopts a highly modular configuration architecture. It is equipped with 16 configuration sockets (XU1 to XU16) for independently defining each I/O signal and has 4 terminal blocks (TB1 to TB4) providing physical connection points on the field side. To ensure power safety, it supports multiple system power configurations, such as 24 VDC, 125 VDC, or 120 VAC, and integrates two onboard fuses (F1 and F2) to protect the power path and connected field devices, preventing the spread of electrical faults.
