This high-power DC drive is widely used in industrial automation systems. It primarily manages and monitors the rectifier circuit, ensuring a stable conversion of electrical energy from AC to DC, and provides critical overcurrent and overvoltage protection to prevent system damage due to electrical faults.
In terms of functional integration, the control board is equipped with abundant interfaces, including three digital inputs with LED indicators and 3+1 digital outputs, as well as a DDCS communication link for connecting to a higher-level control system.
The NDSC-02 3ADT220090R0039 ABB Diode Supply Unit may still be available for purchase and support from Moore Automated Company beyond End-Of-Life (EOL) by the manufacturer (OEM).

Its working principle is based on real-time monitoring and closed-loop regulation of the power supply status by a microprocessor. The control board collects current and voltage signals from the input and output sides through sensors and generates isolated trigger pulses according to preset control logic to coordinate the conduction state of the diode bridge, thereby achieving precise voltage regulation. Simultaneously, it uses a synchronization signal to ensure that the trigger pulses are consistent with the grid frequency. Once an abnormal ground current or voltage fluctuation is detected, the system will immediately adjust the output or trigger a trip command, and feed back real-time diagnostic data to the central control system via communication protocols such as Modbus RTU.
- This circuit board is primarily used in ABB power systems and distributed control systems (DCS).
- It is commonly found in industrial applications with extremely high performance requirements, such as packaging and printing machinery, injection molding and textile manufacturing, food manufacturing, and general heavy-duty motor control applications.
