Key Industrial Use Cases
Features:
- Vibration transmitter module
- Specific configuration of the Provibtech TM201 Shaft Vibration Transmitter
- This industrial instrument is a loop-powered, 4-20 mA transmitter used for non-contact radial vibration monitoring of rotating shafts
Designed to meet high availability and functional safety requirements, this module is widely used in emergency shutdown (ESD) and fire gas monitoring systems in industries such as petroleum, chemical, and nuclear power.
The module supports redundant configurations, allowing the same set of input signals to be synchronously distributed to a Triple Modular Redundancy (TMR) processor. This ensures that even if one channel fails, the system can still make correct safety decisions, thereby protecting the overall safety of the production unit.
The TM201-A02-B00-C00-000-E00-G00 PREDICTECH Vibration transmitter module may still be available for purchase and support from Moore Automated Company beyond End-Of-Life (EOL) by the manufacturer (OEM).

The TM201 module employs a passive shunt and impedance matching mechanism. When a 4-20mA current generated by a field transmitter flows through the module, it converts the current signal into a proportional voltage signal through an internal precision sampling resistor, and then transmits this analog signal to the AI input card via a dedicated cable connector on its back. Throughout this process, the module utilizes its circuit layout to filter electrical interference between channels, and, in conjunction with the Tricon system's self-diagnostic function, monitors the continuity and signal integrity of the input loop in real time, ensuring the accuracy and reliability of the data acquired by the logic controller.
- Water Treatment: Monitors the operation of large water pumps to prevent bearing failure.
- Power Generation: Tracks the shaft displacement of small auxiliary turbines or cooling tower fans.
- Chemical Processing: Provides safe trip signals for process-critical agitators and mixers.
