The Allen-Bradley 1756-IA16 is a ControlLogix I/O module. This isolated AC digital input module features a display showing input and communication status, as well as module operating conditions. Each input channel is independently isolated, with a rated continuous input voltage of 125 volts per channel. The module can be directly connected to a ControlLogix chassis. Compatible removable terminal block housings are the 1756-TBCH and 1756-TBS6H.

This module can be installed in a local or remote I/O ControlLogix chassis. A local ControlLogix chassis refers to the component with a ControlLogix processor installed, while a remote I/O chassis refers to a ControlLogix chassis that communicates with the local chassis via a communication adapter.
