Features:
- DC Power Distribution Monitoring Unit/Alarm Module
- Compact structure and easy installation
- Used in industrial DC power supply cabinet architectures to track analog signals, control diode chains, and actively monitor bus insulation.
Its primary function is to achieve real-time insulation resistance detection and bus voltage status monitoring of DC bus systems in substations and industrial cabinets.
Through a high-precision sampling circuit, it can accurately detect insulation grounding faults on the positive and negative DC busbars, thereby immediately issuing alarms and preventing relay protection malfunctions or failures due to double-point grounding of the DC system.
The EDU01 Emerson DC Power Distribution Monitoring Unit may still be available for purchase and support from Moore Automated Company beyond End-Of-Life (EOL) by the manufacturer (OEM).

In addition to its core insulation detection function, this module also integrates silicon chain control and analog signal conditioning functions for comprehensive power distribution management. It can automatically or manually adjust the number of step-down silicon chains in the DC busbar, dynamically stabilizing the output voltage when the input voltage fluctuates, ensuring a stable and reliable DC power supply to downstream closed and control buses.
- Power Substations: Used inside power distribution panels (35kV to 110kV hubs) to protect switchgear and relay grids.
- Industrial DC UPS Rooms: Integrated into large backup battery configurations to support auxiliary systems in petrochemical facilities, telecommunications stations, and nuclear power plants.
