IC200ALG320 is a 12-bit resolution analog output module designed for industrial automation systems. It provides four independent current-sourcing output channels with a standard range of 4 mA to 20 mA. With a small amount of overrange capability, each channel can deliver up to approximately 20.38 mA, making it suitable for driving a wide variety of field devices such as actuators, control valves, and variable-speed drives.
This module requires an external user-side power supply to operate its field-side output circuits. Intelligent processing is handled by a PLC CPU or a Network Interface Unit (NIU), while the module itself receives 4 words of analog output data from the backplane. This architecture allows flexible integration into distributed control systems and ensures reliable and synchronized analog signal generation across multiple channels.
For status indication and diagnostics, the module includes a green FLD PWR LED that indicates the presence of user-side field power, and a green OK LED that confirms backplane power is present and the module is operating normally. It can also report a “Loss of User Side Power” fault condition, helping operators quickly identify field power issues.
Configuration is simplified through a jumper setting that allows the outputs to either hold their last state or default to a predefined condition if backplane power, communication, or PLC control is interrupted. Until new valid output data is received or field power is removed, the module maintains either the last known output or its configured default state, ensuring predictable behavior in fault conditions.
Before installation, all shipping containers should be carefully inspected for damage, and any issues should be reported immediately to the carrier. Serial numbers should be recorded after unpacking, and packaging materials should be retained for possible future transport.
