The 3TY7560-0A is an electromagnetic coil assembly in industrial contactor systems, primarily used to drive matched contactors to control the opening and closing of the main contacts. Its core function is to convert external control voltage into electromagnetic driving force, thereby achieving reliable switching of the power circuit.
This assembly possesses excellent electromagnetic conversion efficiency and thermal stability, adapting to high-frequency operation and long-term energization conditions. It also supports modular replacement, making contactor maintenance more efficient and improving the overall system's operational continuity and maintenance convenience.
The 3TY7560-0A Siemens Main Contact Kit may still be available for purchase and support from Moore Automated Company beyond End-Of-Life (EOL) by the manufacturer (OEM).

The 3TY7560-0A operates based on electromagnetic induction and an iron core driving mechanism. When a control voltage is applied to the coil, a magnetic field is generated inside the coil. This magnetic field attracts the iron core, causing the contactor's moving iron core to overcome spring force and complete mechanical displacement, thereby closing or opening the main contacts. When the control voltage is removed, the magnetic field disappears, and the reset spring pushes the iron core back to its initial position, releasing the contacts. The entire process relies on stable electromagnetic energy conversion and optimized structural design to ensure reliability and long-term stability under industrial-grade high-frequency operating conditions.
- Industrial Motor Control: Primarily used in NEMA 5 motor starters to control high-power motors (up to 250kW), such as squirrel-cage and slip-ring motors.
- Heavy-Load Switching: Used in power distribution and energy sectors for switching high-current AC loads, including large solenoid valves, industrial heating, and lighting loads.
- Capacitor Management: Used in electrical systems where the 3TF56 contactor manages capacitor banks for power factor correction.
- Preventative Maintenance: Critical for high-reliability environments, as frequent high-current arcing can cause pitting or wear on electrical contacts.
