- SINAMICS S120 Active Interface Module
- Suitable for 36kW Regulated Power Modules Eingang: 3AC 380-480V, 50/60Hz Bauform Book-type
- Designed specifically for use with 36 kW Active Line Modules (ALM) in high-performance industrial drive systems
The core function of the Siemens 6SL3100-0BE23-6AB0 is as a power regulation hub between the power grid and the drive system. This module integrates necessary reactors and filters to ensure a clean power grid, significantly filter out harmonic interference generated by the drive unit, and ensure the system meets stringent electromagnetic compatibility (EMC) standards, thereby protecting other sensitive electronic equipment within the same power grid.
It undertakes the important tasks of system pre-charging and voltage monitoring. The module incorporates a bypass contactor and pre-charging resistor to effectively limit inrush current during capacitor charging at the initial stage of system startup, preventing impact on the power grid and internal components.
The 6SL3100-0BE23-6AB0 Siemens SINAMICS S120 Active Interface Module may still be available for purchase and support from Moore Automated Company beyond End-Of-Life (EOL) by the manufacturer (OEM).

This module primarily optimizes the input current waveform through an LCL filter structure. When the Active Power Module (ALM) operates in high-frequency switching mode, the AIM module utilizes its inductor and capacitor circuits to smooth the current pulses, making them closer to a sine wave. Simultaneously, during startup, the control system first closes the pre-charge circuit. Once the DC bus voltage rises to the set value, the main contactor inside the AIM closes, switching to normal operation mode. During operation, the AIM continuously monitors the frequency and phase of the input voltage to ensure precise synchronization between the power module and the grid, thereby achieving smooth power exchange.
- Green and energy-saving: Converts braking energy into usable AC power.
- Compact design: Book-sized design significantly saves space in the electrical control cabinet.
- High reliability: Built-in pre-charge circuit supports stable operation under various global grid voltages (380V-480V).
