The Toshiba SDI01 is a serial I/O digital-input module listed for V-series model 2000 and model 3000 controller installations. It provides 32 input points for nominal 24 VDC signals, with a specified input current of 5 mA per channel. Toshiba identifies the input channels as non-isolated from one another and lists support for online module replacement within the documented system arrangement. The module itself draws 50 mA from the 24 VDC supply, a figure separate from the individual field-input currents. It belongs to the serial I/O hardware platform rather than serving as a standalone controller, so its base-unit, termination and controller configuration must be preserved when arranging a replacement.
The channel arrangement and field-power distribution should be checked against the installed wiring drawings, particularly because the inputs are not isolated from one another. The module supply current is not a substitute for calculating the load imposed by energized field inputs. Online replacement capability also does not remove the need to follow the controller and process procedures for maintenance. A replacement enquiry should therefore identify the installed base and terminal assembly as well as the SDI01 label.

Toshiba lists the channels as non-isolated. Design and maintain the shared field references accordingly; do not apply individually isolated-channel assumptions to this module.
