Features:
- Trusted TMR System Analog Input Module - 40 Channel
- Triple Modular Redundant (TMR), fault tolerant (3-2-0) operation
- It is designed for high-reliability, safety-critical industrial applications requiring SIL 3 certification
The TMR 24V DC analog input module can connect to 40 field input devices. The module acts as a current sink for these devices. Built-in line monitoring detects open and short circuits in field cables. Line monitoring for each input channel is independently configurable.
The module provides onboard Event Sequence (SOE) reporting with a resolution of 1 millisecond. Status changes trigger SOE entries. Status is determined by voltage thresholds, which are configurable for each channel.
The T8431 ICS triplex Analog Input Module may still be available for purchase and support from Moore Automated Company beyond End-Of-Life (EOL) by the manufacturer (OEM).

The input status LED indicator pattern depends on the voltage level of the field I/O signal. Each field input voltage is measured and compared to six threshold levels (four configurable, two fixed), resulting in seven threshold bands, as described in Section 8. Each threshold band can be defined with a specific indication mode: off, solid green or flashing, or solid red or flashing.
This module is the standard choice for industries requiring SIL 3 certification:
Oil & Gas (Upstream/Downstream): Used on offshore drilling platforms for monitoring blowout preventers; used in refineries for controlling flare towers.
Chemicals & Pharmaceuticals: Used for reactor temperature monitoring to prevent exothermic runaway; and in cleanrooms for managing sterilization cycles.
Power Generation & Utilities: Critically important for turbine control systems and intelligent fire suppression systems.
LNG Receiving Terminals: Used for controlling emergency depressurization and monitoring systems; reliability is paramount.
