ABB IMMPI01 is a multifunction processor interface module for ABB Bailey INFI 90 and Harmony Rack systems. It provides external communication connectivity for the associated processor environment.
IMMPI01 provides two RS-232-C interfaces and one SCSI interface according to ABB communication-module documentation. Its operation depends on the matching processor, termination hardware, cable pinout and configured communication parameters.
ABB IMMPI01 is a legacy interface and should be replaced only after recording port assignments, baud rates, protocol settings and cable wiring. Modernization requires an engineered Symphony Plus communication solution rather than an assumed plug-in substitute.
The IMMPI01 ABB Multifunction Processor Interface Module may still be available for purchase and support from Moore Automated beyond End-Of-Life (EOL) by the manufacturer (OEM).
