Features:
- Remote Cold Junction compensation capability
- Temperature points can be added in 16 point increments
- Series 8 Controller and I/O spare parts
The Low Level Analog Input (LLAI) Module accepts up to 16 channels of temperature inputs from RTD & TC.
Temperature variables are sampled from all points once per second. Each 1-second update includes a configurable open-circuit thermocouple detection (OTD) check before propagating the temperature variable. All thermocouple inputs include integrated cold junction compensation (CJC).
The 8C-PAIMA1 51454473-275 Honeywell Analog Input Modules may still be available for purchase and support from Moore Automated Company beyond End-Of-Life (EOL) by the manufacturer (OEM).

Thermocouple/RTD Input/Output Module (TC/RTD IOM) supports configuration parameters for open-circuit sensor detection before outputting the temperature value (PV). With OTD enabled, PV is sampled and held while one OTD cycle is performed within the same measurement window. If OTD is negative, PV propagates up the system. If OTD is positive, PV is set to NaN, and the input channel is flagged as a soft fault. This prevents inappropriate control operations due to invalid PV values caused by thermocouple open circuits. PV sampling/reporting does not incur additional delay due to OTD processing.
This module is typically used in heavy industries such as oil and gas, chemicals, and power generation for:
Precision Temperature Measurement: Connects to thermocouples (TC) and resistance temperature detectors (RTD) to monitor critical process temperatures.
Hazardous and Harsh Environments: Its conformal coating makes it suitable for high humidity or corrosive gas environments.
Critical Process Control: Used in applications requiring extremely high accuracy and reliability for safety-related or efficient temperature loops.
