The Allen-Bradley 1756-BA1 ControlLogix/FlexLogix battery assembly is a lithium battery unit designed specifically for Allen-Bradley 1756-L55, 1756-L61, 1756-L62, 1756-L63, and 1794-L33 controllers. Specifically, the 1756-BA1 utilizes a Sanyo cylindrical SE-type lithium battery cell with a terminal voltage of 3V DC and a nominal capacity of 1800mAh.
This battery contains lithium and is equipped with lead-wire terminals, making it suitable for open-style enclosure mounting. The 1756-BA1 has an operating temperature range of -40°C to 60°C, measures 20 x 24 x 8 inches, and weighs approximately 17 grams. It should be stored at a temperature close to 30°C. If the temperature of equipment components located 1 inch below the 1756-BA1 base exceeds 30°C, the battery must be replaced within 3 years (the higher the ambient temperature, the sooner the battery should be replaced).

1756-BA1 is documented for Series A 1756-L6x controllers and specified earlier ControlLogix or FlexLogix controllers. Series B 1756-L6x controllers use 1756-BA2. Confirm the controller catalog number and series from the nameplate before ordering.

Verify retention after installation.
