The Alan Bradley PanelView 6 Plus 2711P-B10C4A9 is a Human Machine Interface (HMI) that allows users to interact with machines. The interface features a 10.4-inch color display. Users can control the interface by inputting information and data via a keyboard/touchscreen. The device operates on 100-240 VAC power and has 512 MB of built-in memory. The internal backlight replacement part number is 2711P-RL10C2, if needed.
EtherNet/IP (Ethernet Industrial Protocol) is an open industrial networking technology that supports the transmission and exchange of real-time I/O messages. The Ethernet port connects to the controller on the EtherNet/IP network via a network and standard Ethernet connection. This port can also be used for application transmission and printing. The EtherNet/IP screen displays and allows users to modify certain EtherNet/IP communication settings on the PanelView terminal. If an additional Ethernet port is required, the 2711P-RN20 Ethernet communication module is available as an option for the 700 to 1500 series terminals. This module has an independent IP address. This port is equipped with an RJ45 10/100Base-T connector for network communication and supports MDI/MDI-X connections. Relevant parameters are downloaded with the application.

1. Harsh, High-Pollution Environments: Touchscreens may become unresponsive when contaminated with liquids or large amounts of dirt. This model's physical keyboard provides a reliable alternative.
Metalworking and CNC Machining: In factories using cutting oils, coolants, and lubricants, operators' gloves are often slippery. Touch-sensitive physical buttons allow them to press cycle start, cycle stop, or manual control keys without wiping the screen or removing their gloves.
Foundries and Steel Mills: In high-dust environments filled with airborne particles or graphite dust, static electricity buildup can interfere with capacitive touchscreens. The 2711P-B10C4A9 features a rugged 8-wire resistive touchscreen and physical buttons, unaffected by environmental debris, ensuring normal operation.
2. High-Precision Blind Input: Operators of repetitive machinery often need to quickly input values or change parameters without leaving the equipment.
Batch Formulation Management (Chemicals and Plastics): Extruder and mixer operators can quickly enter precise mixing codes, target temperatures, and timer durations using a physical alphanumeric keypad—similar to using a calculator—which is faster and more accurate than using an on-screen virtual keyboard.
Packaging and Palletizing Lines: On high-speed cartoning or wrapping machines, operators can assign frequently used system diagnostics, reset sequences, or on-screen changes to 32 physical function keys (F1-F16, K1-K16), enabling "blind operation" while observing product flow on the production line.
