This operator terminal is used for real-time monitoring of machines or processes within a factory. By exchanging data with partner automation equipment such as programmable logic controllers (PLCs), programmable automation controllers (PACs), gateways, stand-alone controllers, and third-party devices, the logic and data in the memory of these devices can be modified. Operators can view the process through a graphical interface, enabling user-friendly control and monitoring.
The 2711P-T10C4D1 allows process operation via an analog resistive touchscreen interface designed to withstand up to 1 million presses at a pressure of 10-110 grams. It is equipped with 64 MB of random access memory (RAM) and 64 MB of flash memory. The operating terminal is powered by an external 24VDC power supply.

Data exchange can be achieved via an RS232 port or an Ethernet interface. These communication interfaces are isolated from each other and can operate individually or simultaneously. It can also communicate with different types of devices. The 2711P-T10C4D1 is particularly compatible with Allen-Bradley controllers, including traditional products such as the PLC5, SLC500, and MicroLogix, as well as modern controllers such as CompactLogix, Micro 800, and ControlLogix.
